I just got back from a month abroad in Costa Rica, working and enjoying life on a farm surrounded by expansive mountain views, pure waterfalls, and the most delicious fruit. This is a sign I painted during my stay. Glad to be back in Brooklyn.

Diner Journal is a beautifully designed publication put out by the folks from Diner (a cozy restaurant in South Williamsburg with a thoughtful menu that changes daily and with the seasons). I have always admired Diner Journal for its truly rich content that is both visually mesmerizing and informative. I am honored to be a part of Issue #16 this month, along with my good friend Annie Novak from Eagle Street Rooftop Farms. We collaborated on a piece called "How to Plant a Seed". "It's Time to Take Off Your ________ Blindfold"

This Saturday February 6th at 8PM, "The Bad Words Experiment" is opening it's doors for one night only! The show will be held at Creative Lab Studio located at 68 Jay Street in dumbo Brooklyn. This is the poster I designed for the show which was inspired by Chris Jordan's photographs of the Albatross on Midway Atoll who are being fed toxic human trash that their parents find floating on the surface of the ocean and mistake for squid and various other sea life that they think is safe to eat. Pollution is a world wide problem that not only has fatal consequences for these birds but is affecting the health and well being of our natural environment our families and ourselves. With this piece I hope to start conversation, inspire action and create change. TAKE OFF YOUR BLINDFOLD and build awareness within yourself and your community today.

The "Bad Words Experiment" is an amazing art show being put together by the New and Attractive Juveniles. The show will feature 20+ artists who have been asked to interpret the theme "bad words" in any way their heart desires. I'm very excited to be a part of this show and I look forward to seeing it all put together. I was at their first show and I must say they do a phenomenal job. Everything from the invite to the type on the walls and the color of the napkins is well thought out.
